About Courtney Yohe Savage, MPP Courtney Yohe Savage, MPP, the driving force behind Savage Health Policy, brings over two decades of experience in health policy and government relations. Her track record includes achieving specific legislative and regulatory results in a complex political environment. She is recognized for her expertise in health policy, with a particular focus on issues impacting healthcare providers, patients, quality measurement, Medicare coverage and payment, and medical device and prescription drug approval and coverage.
Before founding Savage Health Policy, Courtney served as the Senior Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at Cancer Support Community (CSC), where she led patient-centered policy and advocacy efforts. Prior to her role at CSC, Savage served as Vice President of Government Relations for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons where she spearheaded the association’s Washington, DC operations. Her achievements there included increasing fundraising for the organization’s political action committee and leading important advocacy initiatives.
